Why our roast is named for Malmaison

Joséphine — born on Martinique in 1763 and crowned Empress of the French in 1804 — made the Château de Malmaison her home.
There she gathered one of the most celebrated rose collections of her age. Grace, taste and hospitality were her true influence, and her garden was where they showed most.
Our signature roast takes its name from that garden, and her portrait, rose in hand, is on every bag we roast.
